Remove specific depths from concrete surfaces the safe, efficient way: hydrodemolition. This process, also known as hydro-milling, is extremely effective for removing deteriorated, delaminated or even sound concrete from any flat, vertical or overhead surfaces. It is also ideal for overlay work when the structural steel will be reused and a clean, rough bonding surface is required. Using high-pressure water (15,000 to 30,000 psi), our hydro-demolition process is faster than traditional concrete removal without dust, vibration or the need for a massive labor force.
Midwest Mobile Waterjet can also offer the latest technology in hydro demolition waste water treatment. Our solids filtration and pH treatment system can be calibrated to meet even the most strict discharge standards. If necessary, treated water can also be re-used to help reduce overall water consumption in areas where a clean water source is difficult to find. The portable water treatment system can also be used to treat lake or river water (unless extremely dirty) to be used with the hydro demolition equipment.
The term hydroscarification (hydro-scarification) is another term referring to the same process as hydrodemolition, but is normally used when depths of less than 1 inch are required and the steel reinforcing will not be exposed. Concrete Truck Drum Cleaning
Clean concrete truck drums quickly, efficiently and safely with our OSHA approved process. Our machines allows us to effectively remove concrete buildup, even when the drum is completely filled with solidified material. This flexible process allows us to operate through the main loading/unloading hatch, or by articulating it through side access hatches, and it’s compatible with most rear and front loading mixer trucks—no dismantling of the truck required! Best of all, each finished truck can simply pull away and make room for the next truck to be cleaned.
Asphalt Silo Cleaning
Got a clogged asphalt silo or silo with heavy buildup that is hurting capacity and efficiency? We can break through built-up asphalt without ever having to worry about confined space entry. Our non-entry method uses ultra high-pressure blasting technology to blast away and break through the most difficult asphalt clogs or buildup—a method that is typically safer and faster than traditional mechanical methods of cleaning. Midwest Mobile Waterjet (MMW) is a Minnesota based waterjet and hydro-demolition specialty contractor in our 15th year of operation. We have been growing at a steady pace and are currently looking to add staff to help with field work.
The ideal candidate will have experience with operating and maintaining waterblast pumps, hydro demolition robots, waterjet cutting equipment and many other accessories. We are also willing to provide training to someone with good mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. We provide our services all over North America so ability to travel is critical along with a good driving record and legal record. We are a small company and do not micro-manage our people, we need a candidate that is self-motivated, independant and highly responsible. Living near our St Paul office/shop would be a plus but we are also willing to utilize experienced applicants from any location in the US, you would simply travel to the home office prior to projects or directly to project locations. Pay level for this position will be directly related to the amount of experience the applicant has and would range from $18 to $35 an hour. Many of our projects are prevailing wage based so higher pay rates are not uncommon for specific projects. Dry Ice Blasting
Is a form of carbon dioxide cleaning, where dry ice, the solid form of carbon dioxide, is accelerated in a pressurized air stream and directed at a surface in order to clean it.
Hydro-demolition (hydro demolition, hydroblasting, hydro blasting, waterblasting, waterjetting)
High pressure water technique, removes concrete that is deteriorated or sound concrete, as well as grout and asphalt.
Hydrolase is a class of enzyme that is commonly used as biochemical catalysts that use water to break a chemical bond.
Hydro-scarification (Hydro scarification, scarification)
Used for concrete bridge or road surfaces, this technique uses high pressure water to remove the top surface to create bonding for new, sound concrete.
Remove old laminates without chemicals and without harming the aluminum or corrosion resistant coatings
Inconel is a family of austenitic nickel-chromium-based superalloys.
Inconel alloys are oxidation-corrosion-resistant materials well suited for service in extreme environments subjected to pressure and heat.
Water Jet (waterjet, water jet cutter)
A water jet cutter, also known as a water jet or waterjet, is an industrial tool capable of cutting a wide variety of materials using a very high-pressure jet of water, or a mixture of water and an abrasive substance.
Waterjet cutting is often used during fabrication of machine parts. It is the preferred method when the materials being cut are sensitive to the high temperatures generated by other methods. Waterjet cutting is used in various industries, including mining and aerospace, for cutting, shaping, and reaming.
Power Washing (pressure washing)
Is the use of high-pressure water spray to remove loose paint, mold, grime, dust, mud, chewing gum and dirt from surfaces and objects such as buildings, vehicles and concrete surfaces.
Shotcrete, or sprayed concrete is concrete or mortar conveyed through a hose and pneumatically projected at high velocity onto a surface, as a construction technique. It is typically reinforced by conventional steel rods, steel mesh, or fibers.
Shotcrete is usually an all-inclusive term for both the wet-mix and dry-mix versions. In pool construction, however, shotcrete refers to wet mix and gunite to dry mix. In this context, these terms are not interchangeable.
Shotcrete is placed and compacted at the same time, due to the force with the nozzle. It can be sprayed onto any type or shape of surface, including vertical or overhead areas.
